On a special night, between light warm, the scent of coffee and the murmur of the river Tomebamba, Polis held a Coffee Party very special with María José Pinto, candidate to the Vice president of Ecuador by the movement's DNA.
The event, held in the cozy space of Bumba Fruits and Beer, brought together students, young professionals and community leaders in a relaxed environment, other than the acts of traditional politicians. It was not a press conference, it was not a rally, it was a real conversation. Thanks to the technical support of the University Institute San Isidro and to the collaboration of Marley Coffeewe create a unique experience that allowed us to know not only the political ideas of María José, but also his life story.
During the evening, Mary, Joseph spoke to us with openness and honesty about his childhood, his family, his children, and what motivated him to enter politics. “I'm not here by ambition, but by conviction.”, were some of his words more heartfelt, which echoed in an audience attentive and heartfelt. The attendees also shared questions, reflections, and hugs, in a space which raised the empathy on the protocol.
These spaces, designed and managed by Polisare all part of our commitment to an education policy that is closer, human and participatory. We want the youth to sit at the same table with those who seek to rule the country, and that the policy you may return to face, history, and heart.
We are grateful to Bumba Fruits and Beer by open up their doors, the Instituto San Isidro for their technical and logistical support, and to Marley Coffee by keep awake with the smell of the future.
