In Polis, we are committed to the cause of "Live Without Fear", a campaign that seeks to raise funds for the construction of a memorial to honor the victims of femicide in the Freedom Park in Cuenca. This project is critical to pay tribute to those who have lost their lives due to gender-based violence and to raise awareness in society about this problem.
To achieve our goal, we are implementing various fundraising initiatives. We have installed a decanter for donations in the office of UDAFE at the University of Azuay, where students and staff can contribute to this noble cause. In addition, we are organizing tournaments of cards and other games, events that not only seek to raise funds, but also to unite the community around this cause. Also, we are collaborating with the Prefecture of Azuay to carry out a fair ventures, an activity that promises to be a great success and we hope to have a significant impact on our fundraising goal.
The past may 8, Micaela Astudillo, our Coordinator, Social, participated in the first press conference of the campaign, "Live Without Fear", accompanied by representatives of other organizations. The event, covered by numerous media outlets of the Azuay, marked the official beginning of our activities and enabled to present our initiatives to a wider audience.
